At Premier Hoops we are dedicated to finding the best basketball coaches around. We choose coaches not only by their basketball background, but also by their leadership and responsibility. We are continually trying to make our basketball program better in Eastern Massachusetts. Katelyn Leonard
New Coach
Katelyn is originally from Swampscott, Massachusetts. She has been the director of Fundamental Basketball Camp and at other basketball camps such as Bentley Camp, Stonehill Camp. She has also privately instructed individual high school level players in the Massachusetts areas through clinics and skills training.
Katelyn is now the Head Girls Coach At Revere High School and we are very excited to have Katelyn join our team at Premier Hoops! She will be involved in our middle school and high school girls development program this summer.
Katelyn played four years of varsity basketball at Swampscott High School and earned a full basketball scholarship to Division II Stonehill College!
She has been coaching girls since 2003. Some of the places she has coached are: Stonehill College (Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach), Mystic Valley Regional High School (Varsity Head Coach), Revere High School (current Varsity Head Coach).
Dino Mallios
New Coach
Dino is originally from Winthrop, Massachusetts and played varsity basketball at Winthrop High School for Coach Dave Brown. He is now the starting Point Guard at St. Anselm College and has great ball-handling, passing, and shooting skills.
Dino will be helping out on the middle and high school boys side at our summer camps and 4S training program!
Dino is the all-time scoring leader at Winthrop High School and is also the current starting point guard at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire.
This past season at Division II St. Anselm College, Dino was leading the nation at 7.6 assists per game! He will bring a great deal of knowledge and excitement to Premier Hoops this summer!

Tara Driscoll
Girls’ Program Director at Premier Hoops
Tara is an exceptionally skilled basketball player and an experienced coach. She is the Director of Premier Hoops Girls Basketball Program in Mass. She grew up on the North Shore in Swampscott, MA and she has been involved in skill development her entire life. She was the captain of the Swampscott High School Girls team that went to Boston Garden two years in a row! She was recruited to play at Umass Dartmouth and transferred to Salem State University in Salem, Mass where she was a two-time captain and MVP. She is currently recruiting girls grades 2 through 10 from Marblehead, Lynn, Salem, Peabody, Georgetown, Wakefield, Nahant, Middleton, Topsfield, Danvers, and other towns in Eastern Massachusetts for Premier Hoops summer and fall girls basketball program.
Troy Brown
Returning Boys’ Coach
Coach Troy Brown grew up in Lynn, MA. He was recruited to play for Providence College and then he was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks NBA Team. He went on to play 10 years of professional basketball in countries such as France, Israel, Germany, and more. Coach Brown brings a great deal of energy and leadership to the Premier Hoops program. He conducts private and small group lessons and is one of the top basketball clinicians in MA. The Premier Hoops Basketball Program is very happy to have Coach Brown back this summer!
Chris Balliro
Returning Coach
We are very excited to have Coach Chris on board as a skills and drill instructor at Premier Hoops. Chris grew up in Massachusetts and played college basketball at Division I Stony Brook University. He then move to Italy where he played 10 years of Professional Basketball. Coach Chris works with our players on the fundamentals of shooting and creating space for the jump shot.
Mike Leykin
Premier Hoops Founder
Coach Leykin has been playing basketball his entire life. He started Premier Hoops while he was at Babson College in Massachusetts. He has been coaching and running clinics for the past seven years. He has been a Varsity Coach at Marblehead High School for the past four seasons. He played basketball for St. John’s Prep in Danvers and for Babson College.
